You must go through immigration thing just like any other one.
I recommend asking the Australian Embassy what to do. I think it also depends on from which country you are, your age, your working skills and experiences. And if you will have a profession Australia is looking for.

Good luck.

Australia is AMAZING, you'll love it. It's a great country and the people are lovely. the only downside is bugs, mosquitoes and Black widow spiders, but they have repellents and stuff so that'll be ok. Some info on the laws and regulations and stuff are in the link below.

They also have lots of job vacancies in all areas of work. So you should be fine getting a job.

You have to have a sponsor, maybe a future employer who wants to sponsor you or a relative that lives there. They act on a point system so if you haven't got enough points they will not let you in. Good luck a lovely life awaits in a truly lovely country especially Perth.

Talk about peurile answers, I don't know what ACCA means, but I am sure we would have similar, as one respondent said, you will enjoy Oz, we are a fairly laid back mob, especially in the bush where I am. I am in the Mining city of Broken Hill, a small dot on the map of New South Wales, almost in South Australia, when you come to Broken Hill, as you should, look me up, I am a tour bus driver.

Hi, I am ACCA and have Permanent Residence of Australia. I am planning to move around May 09 in Aus. ACCA is good qualification, but best thing is that you study Australian CPA or CA. If you do so you would be in more demand. For more questions you can e mail me at smartyofpak@yahoo.com.

You will love staying in Australia.. According to my personal experience I say that you can comfortably settle in Australia.

Regarding you ACCA i propose this to visit this site: www.australialiveworkplay.com/immigrant-...

You certainly can study towards your ACCA in Australia; it's a highly respected qualification here.

Accountant is one of our occupations in demand so you shouldn't have any trouble getting a visa though you will need experience first unless you come here and study full time over at least 2 years.

Following is the page from our immigration site on skills recognition for immigration purposes. It also has links to the websites of professional bodies for accountants in Australia and info on other requirements:
http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupations/a/accountant-2211-11.htm

If you want to be able to bring your boyfriend (or husband if he's stopped dragging the chain), check out the requirements for getting a spouse visa so that you can make sure you start accumulating everything you'll need for it. You won't need to be married if you've been living together and can prove it:
