Queensland is a wonderful state :)

We are also the fastest growing state in Australia. We have the best weather and the nicest people.

But the northern half is much nicer than the southern part.

It would be interesting to find out where you are originally from - just curiousity sake i guess - there are some cities/areas that have a particular population groups - something to consider? i don't know.

Best place to raise a family - i think a city like Brisbane offers you an opportunity to live away from the city itself but you find yourself in a nice quiet area of the city that isn't that far from the CBD. Same can be said for Melbourne as well - the widespread of the area allows you to live away from the city environment and allows your kids that suburban lifestyle, yet having the access to the city.

If you're thinking Queensland, Id say either Brisbane or Sunshine Coast

Victoria - Melbourne is good, Geelong wouldn't be a bad option (however people do make fun of Geelong - it isn't that bad of a place)

I'm not really sure if other states offer benefits that aren't available to others - this is something you should research at the various state government websites, such as www.vic.gov.au or www.qld.gov.au as 2 examples.

Depends what you like. If you like the city, i suggest Melbourne or Sydney they both have a great range of schools, and sporting activities for kids, if you like the beach then the sunshine coast is probably best.

I live in Perth western Australia and prefer it to the east coast.
Its just more spread out over hear on t he east coast everything is pretty crowded.
Check out some websites like tourism Australia
Soon enough you will be saying G'day and having bbq's with mates.
What sort of work do you do? Mining is good here in WA we have a mining boom on at the moment great money!

the vest place to raise a family is queensland.
why?
because its just a real nice friendly place, the best place to live in queensland, is the sunshine coast, there u can get a mix of beach life, city life and country life, its a very friendly place the sunshine coast, which very good schools that are turning out fine kids,
another good point is family holidays, instead of spending a lot of money to travel around to find good places, u can spend ur time at the beach for a lovely holiday, or go for a 90 minute drive and find urself on the gold coast which is home to several large and fun theme parks for the kids.

I was born and raised in Western Australia and I believe (although I'm very biased) here is the best state to raise a young family. We have great schools and a great education system, cheap public transport, great job opportunites and wherever you choose to live, in the city or in a regional area, there is always something to do that will keep kids and adults alike entertained.

wasupg
Check out Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast.
