I don't say 'Crikey'. Sometimes I say 'mate' or 'Gday' but not necessarily together (ie I don't say Gday mate). But not Crikey. |

the only person ive heard thats used those terms is steve irwin.
i find it amusing that the rest of the world thinks we live with kangaroos and say stupid things like crikey and all that crap. |

I reckon it depends where you come from and what the people around you say/use as slang words. I reckon 'crikey' is an outdated saying in Aussie land, but I do know older Aussies you use it.
Australians do have some weird sayings, you're just familar with one or two of the words, probably why you've never picked it up. |
