Hello
First of all congrats on your engagement and wedding and hope you have a lovely honey moon.

Here is a nice little place...

Crabbes Creek Cottages , Crabbes Creek ( $125-175/night )
Six private self-contained cottages in quiet rural valley. Close to beaches, store, and Tweed and Byron hinterland. Ideal for weekend retreats or longer stays.

Approx 90 minutes from Brisbane, 30 from Coolangatta, 20 from Byron Bay and Murwillumbah.

Boss
Springbrooke mt Goldcoast hinterland has some nice selfcontained cabins. Try googling in your area for mountain retreats etc.

Go to Nimbin...

Hang with the hippies...or not...at least they'll make you feel welcome and leave yourselves to each other... to get up to that hanky panky newlyweds are meant to...

Enjoy and have fun!

I suggest a nice vacation in Europe or Hawaii or try Las Vegas or NYC.

Are you kidding me ? You live in Autralia. The paradise of this world and you want to go somweher else for you Honey moon? Well, ok.
Since travel time is 2-3 hours limited, can you take a chopper to a remote part of land where there is a rain forest-resort or coral reef near a hotel or camping area. Ask the Aussie Tourism for a quiet place to be for your Honey-moon. They are constantly advertising in Toronto how beautiful Australia is and much like Canada, still has approachable remote areas where you can get to 2 hours from the city and be in an awesome place of natural beauty and still have the luxyries of spas, hotels, etc. Rent a cottage ?Wish you and hubby well.
