Perth is beautiful. Rather isolated from the rest of the country but a very lovely clean well kept and wealthy city. The weather is lovely. This summer they did have it exceptionally hot for more days than usual In winter it can get quite cold at night. The beaches and the Swan river are lovely .The Port of Fremantle is great for a wander around the wharf area and the weekend markets. And there are so many wonderful areas to travel to if you have a weekend a way. You will find many nationalities there. I'm sure you will really enjoy it. |

Well, Australia is a nice country.
I assume you guys to live either in Sydney or Melbourne. Both cities are beautiful and pleasant.
Anyway, Perth is not a bad choice.

Yes.
They have lovely outdoor areas, plenty of nice food and wines areas in or nearby and other areas like Rottnest Island.
Reasonable weather year round (no snow, not totally steamed like Equatorial areas). Long way from other state capitals though! |

Depends on the suburb and how much you will earn really.
It is mostly good but has some slummy/trashy areas.
Because of the economic boom, there is now two distinct classes of people and lifestyles in Perth.
Those who benefit from the boom earn around $100K and have new car, new house, and go on holidays and enjoy going out etc.
And those being left behind who earn under $63K and finding it hard to pay bills, hard to buy a house, and suffer from price rises caused by surge in demand generated from that other class of people.
In Australia we only consider Asian countries to be east of Burma. Those countries west of Thailand we consider as Indian countries.
Most Asians in Perth live in Murdoch, Winthrop, Leeming, Rossmoyne, etc in very affluent suburbs.
The poorer ones (like Vietnamese refugees) live in Mirrabooka, Girrawheen and there a bouts in the state housing suburbs. |

Perth is lovely. The humidity is low, so you might not like it. Best if you go to Brisbane. I love Perths dry heat & I have friends & relatives over there. |
