I'm not Australian. I'm Portuguese and live in UK.
But I absolutely LOVE Australia. I intend to immigrate there one day in the near future. I also have family that live in aussie and they love it there! they always have something awesome to say about Australia! =D

I have never been but would love to visit. It looks incredibly beautiful. I am quite envious of those like you who live there, it's as big as the US but has only 20 million people compared to 300 million here. How nice it must be to have so much open land and space and be able to enjoy nature and solitude more easily than we can.
