Brisbane has a fast growing Indian population, with lots of areas that have temples and mosques. There are areas near where I live where I am lucky enough to have met some lovely Indian people, great Indian restaurants, all kinds of Indian supermarkets, but if anyone is coming to a new city, it's usually because they want to try a new culture. I think Brisbane has so much more to offer than Adelaide, though Adelaide is a beautiful city. Brisbane is vibrant, great weather, some of the best unis in Australia, cheaper accommodation, has more to do, beaches close by, great food, cheaper cost of living... and very friendly people. We also have wonderful libraries, theatre, and cultural centre, great shopping, the fabulous City Cats and ferries..

Can you tell I love this city?

I live in Brisbane so you know what I am going to say. Adelaide is nice but Brisbane has good weather.
To study the best suburbs are Greenslopes, Mt Gravatt, Holland Park and Fig Tree Pocket. For universities there are good unis every where. If you don't like the city and want to go to uni there are heaps of good ones. Hope it helped...

What would it matter is you are Indian, Korean or Mongolian? If being Indian is such a concern for you that you cannot decide on either Adelaide or Brisbane, then maybe you should consider Bombay. I have heard there are lots of Indians there.

jstnfox
Definitely Adelaide Brisbane is sort of bad to new people
