Regardless of how it is spelt, I have never met a person that had a problem with it. That is after all, what we are!
I think the best thing about living in Australia, are the Summer's, long hot days and where I live TONNES of beaches. It's a great lifestyle to be able to finish up a day at work with a swim at the beach, BBQ's on balmy nights. Majority of people are friendly and easy going too. |

i have no problem with being called an Aussie
the best thing about Australians is when it gets tough we know that fellow Australians will be there to help us |

No, not at all. We call ourselves Aussies (pronounced ozzies) and don't mind if everyone else does too.
The best things about living here are the climate (I'm lucky enough to live in Brisbane), the freedom, the safety and the beautiful natural environment. Also great is the fact that regardless of their background, anyone here can achieve whatever they want if they're prepared to work for it. |

Not at all.
The best thing would have to be the relative "comfort" we have down under.I mean the lack of natural disasters(apart from the terrible bushfires atm). |

No! Not at all.
Go to any sporting event vs another country and all you'll be able to hear is the chant "Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi oi oi!" Lol. (Go on, say 'aussie aussie aussie' to the next one you speak to and listen to the response!) We refer to ourselves as Aussies so its fine. |

No why would we mind being called ozzies? We ourselves consider ourselves Aussies!! We tend to consider both spellings correct, but we spell ozzie as Aussie. |

well if you call me an ozzie it makes me think of a mozzie and I don't think I would want to be called a mozzie! But I love bein an Aussie, the best thing is the Australian mateship, how when the going gets tough, the Ausseies band together! |

I think you mean ' Aussies', which is only an abbreviation, a bit like calling me a ' Manc' - as if I'd be insulted by that! LOL |

no, i dont care, coz thats what we are, australian/aussies lol. i think what annoys people the most is the generalisation of who we are...for example...most people from overseas think we have kangaroos, crocs, and koalas as pets......we dont.
i think the best thing about living in australia is its cultural diversity. i live in melbourne and i love that it is so multicultural. |
