Queensland Drivers?

Just curious to see who's had trouble with Queensland drivers? It seems you're not allowed to merge in Queensland, they don't let you. "Keep left unless overtaking." Don't think they've heard of that. Roundabouts aren't that difficult. Are turn signals optional here?

You are spot on.You are on the freeways up there and they block all the lanes. You will have 4 lanes all sitting next to each other and never moving over to the left. They also love to sit on your butt in the hope you will move over. But how the hell you gunna do that when the idiot next to you will never make room.Talk about tail gaters!
People who learnt how to drive in Wollongong also don't believe in moving to the left. They love to block the traffic at 80klm an hour when it is 100 kph. They will stay in the right lane because 10 kilometres up the road they may have to turn right!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If these people had to drive in Sydney ,they would get eatin up!!!
Must be a country thing.Queensland is just a big country town! ROFL!

Queensland drivers are in a little world of their own. There is no one else on the road as far as they are concerned (unless they are being actively obstructionist)

you get used to it after about 10 years
you cant beat them so just close your eyes & go for it

Happens everywhere.
Some people are just idiots and wouldn't let you overtake.
I think the coppers are meant to book people who use the right lane when they're not overtaking.
I remember once there was two lanes and they were both going 60km/h in both lanes so I used the opposite lane (lane reserved for the other ways traffic, make sure that the road is clear and it's unbroken lines though) to overtake them and one of them pressed the horn at me cause he didn't appreciate being overtaken.

I always hear about the Queensland drivers complaining about the NSW and VIC drivers.
Oh and just remember there are a few of us that do know the rules of the road and we are not all like what you say. In all the years I have driven, I can honestly say I haven't been booked once by police and The cars I mainly drive are big V8 engines under the bonnet.

iv been taking driving lessons for the last month on the gold coast and my teacher is pretty strict about always being in the left lane unless im gonna turn right, but in all honesty i prob wont take much notice of that once iv passed my test, no one else does, so it's kinda pointless.

Thier are dopey selfish driver's all over Australia, but Queenslands rule is 'give way to your right' NO EXCUSES'
I live in Cairns & only a handful of driver's ( mostly interstate) dont stick to the rules, merging traffic is a problem all over Australia not just Queensland & I have driven all over, I cant get used to the turning right & the car opposite who is turning left has to give way, its the only state that has it!!!!
