Question about Queensland/Gold Coast and Theme Parks?

Hi!
Im planning a trip to the Gold Coast with my Boyfriend and we are planning on going to Wet N Wild World, Sea World and Movie World and I have a few question that i'd like to ask.

1. Im taking a bag with me with lunch, money, camera etc (ive heard how expensive food can be there!) Can I leave my bag somewhere before I go on the rides? Obviously I cant take them 'on' the ride, so what should I do?

2. Im buying 2 tickets at $150 each for a 5 day pass to the 3 parks. Does this entry ticket include all rides and shows? Or will I have to pay extra at each ride I want to go on?

3. Are the buses quite easy to catch? Im staying right in the middle of Surfers Paradise and we are wanting to catch a bus to the theme parks.

4. Is one day per park enough to see everything if not, most attractions at the park?

5. We are planning to go near the end of february, but its not confirmed. Do you think this is a good time to go and when is "low season" (so I can get cheaper accommodation if i book later)?

One more question! 6. Which, out of the 3 theme parks listed above and Dreamworld, are you favs?
Thanks to everyone! and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Most people wear a small backpack and you'll be able to take it on the rides with you.

Once you're inside the park, all rides and shows are free.

Heaps of buses go to the parks and they're very easy to find and catch.

One day per park is enough though if it's really hot, you might find a second day at Wet N Wild is a good idea.

The end of February is as good a time as any other though early March may be a little better as even the unis will have gone back by then. February is out of primary and high school holiday time and that's the only real 'must avoid' time.

No good asking me about which park is best - I'm old and don't particularly like any of them. My grown up kids like all three that you've mentioned and Dreamworld has some good attractions too.

Have a great time!

the food is a RIP OFF and tastes like crap at all of them. Bags are ok, everything is in the price, buses are fine, 1 day is enough.

I .All bags are left near where you get on your ride so that is ok (It is watched by staff)
2. All inclusive other than souvenirs and specialty stuff like swimming with the dolphins at seaworld.
3. Most hotels have free shuttles.
4. One day per park is easy. Have a break in between though or you will be overloaded and sick of queues.
5.Low season is DEFINITELY better. Less kids running loose, less queue times and slightly cooler
6. Movieworld is my least fav, but it depends on your taste. Seaworld is a fav for everybody, dreamworld is the coolest if you enjoy rides.
Have a great time!

Everyones answers have been very accurate, however on suggestion has been ommited so far.
If you have a five day pass, why not visit each pass once and use the spare days to visit your own favourite park.
My own preference if the weather is hot as it will be in february is to go to wet and wild swimming.
Dreamworld is definately my favourite by far. It has everything all the other parks have but have done it so much better.
It has brilliant rides, a great swimming area with slides and the tiger enclosure.
Hope this helps.

1. There are lockers available at the theme parks

2. Your ticket includes all shows and rides.

3. There are buses which travel to the theme parks all day. You will be able to catch one from the Gold Coast Highway.

4. One day is plenty for each.

5. Feb is a good time. This is low season.

6. Wet & Wild is probably my fave. Movie World is boring.

1. yes there is a place to leave your bag. ive been to all of the themeparks there. i know dreamworld definitely has racks cause i went there recently but i went to all the otha World when i was maybe in year 4 so i cant member.

2.the ticket is for entrance and the rides. so no you don't have to pay for rides. the only thing you need to buy if you choose to is your lunch and maybe souvenirs.

3.buses are really easy to catch

4. yes one day per park is enough if you go at normal times which is usually 10 - 5 or 10 -3. plenty of time.

5. end of february is cool. but if you go on a school day it will be better. so any weekday. cause then kids aren't there .

6. dreamworld is my fave.

February is not low season. It is the end of high season, definitely still in the high season.

wotif.com is good for last minute accommodation and deals.

There are lockers at the parks for your bags.

Park tickets includes all rides and shows.

One day is definitely enough time to see the park.

Buses will be very easy to catch from surfers as it is the tourist central area.

I wouldn't bother going to movie world, it is the dud of all the parks. At this time of year wet 'n' wild is the most fun.

1) I know Sea World has lockers.

2) Rides and shows are going to be free for the most part. There are some things that cost extra such as helicopter rides or animal adventres at Sea World.

3) Buses run to all three theme parks (see Transinfo site attached) Ticketing info also available on this site.

4) A day per park is good.

5) February is good. School holidays are over so it might not be the low season bit it won't be high season either. The lowest season would probably be winter excluding school holidays (May through August) but too cold for the water parks so...

6) I like SeaWorld because I like the animals and shows. If you're into rides only Dreamworld and a mix of Rides and shoes then Movieworld.

February is a good time. Schools have gone back but always the Theme parks are busy. Not as busy as school holidays but still busy . They don't have a quiet time . Yes buses go to all the theme parks catch it on the main highway . They are at least every 30 minutes . No you don't pay any extra for rides or shows and the one day is adequate. Take a look at www.wotif.com for some bargain accomodation . just book your accomodation a week or 2 before. You can take your bag on most rides . It might be a good idea to wear a bum bag for your purse and camera. My favourite is sea world . If it's hot you can have a swim there. Wet'n wild is great fun but most young adults love Dream world and Movie world is good but depends what you like really

1. no worry, you can put it on the lockers and go for the rides.

2. Absolutely, that price include all rides and shows.

3. You don't need to worry about the buses. You easily find buses to Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild, Dream World and Sea World at Surfers Paradise. You need to check the bus timetable and plan it well.

4. I think it should be enough for 1 day per park cause February is low season.

5. It's good time to go there on February.

6. My fav is Movie World and Wet 'n' wild but for for those who love animal, don't miss Sea world.

7. There are lots of activities you can find in Gold Coast here: http://www.partner.viator.com/en/6806/Gold-Coast/d367-ttd

Have a good time !

You guys will have a ball. The parks are super easy to get to through from anywhere on the coast. The Gold Coast caters to theme parks. Do the day super pass to warner wetnwild and seaworld. I am pretty sure your pass gets you free to the venues plus rail.and or bus transfers. All tickets include all rides and shows, excluding special events It really depends on how many people are there on the day , if you need 1 day or not, Dreamworld is my favourite, so if your budget affords do it,. They also sometimes offer a return day for $10, if they do take it (time permitting) My favourite, after living many years on the coast is Broadbeach. It hosts an abundance of restaurants, bars and clubs. Make sure you go to Pacific Fair..(its my happy place) The shopping is Great!!! Have fun
