Rome. I've been doing uni here in Perth for the past 3 years, and find it too quiet. Of course, if you enjoy the quietness and shops closing at 5pm, welcome.

ROME

Thad
HANDS DOWN....

P-E-R-T-H

Know both places well.

Did military stint in 1966 in Rome.

Rome...cleaner that it has been in decades and al rpimped up for the 2000 Jubilee. But still, crowded, noisy, expensive.

Populated by petulant Italians interested only in ripping off Yu-rohs from ya.

...worst of all, they don't kniow from wheatgrass juice.

Big Mistake !

Perth, OTOH...

Peaceful, pretty, plentous in sunshine and warm seas, and very reasonably priced huge seafood selection.

WHOO-HA.

um... rome, obviously. if you're going to compare rome compare it with something that can actually compete (at least try to). :)

Jeez you couldn't have picked two more opposite cities.

Rome has history, culture, vibrancy, crowds, pollution.

Perth is modern, relaxed, clean, and uncrowded.

I have travelled extensively throughout the World and now live in a beach suburb of Perth. Probably the best city in the World for young families, providing you are able to travel around the World to experience everything that Perth doesn't have.
