I assume if you are asking this uestion, you've never had any - so my advice to you as a vegemite lover is to start slow and work your way up to it. Vegemite is not something that you will eat the first time and say that you love. I recommend this simple recipe for a beginner.

2 slices white toast bread
soft butter
vegemite

Toast the bread, spread liberally with softened butter then thinly scrape a small amount of vegemite over the buttered toast so that it is a light brown stain.

I promise you, eaten like this vegemite is very pleasant. It adds a salty savouriness to the toast that hits the spot. After a few times eating vegemite like this, you can slowly work your way up to having more spread on.

I enjoy vegemite the most with fresh crusty white bread.

Cut the bread really thick, spread with butter and lightly spread with Vegemite.

The ABSOLUTELY BIGGEST MISTAKE foreigners make when they try vegemite is to plaster it on toast or bread TOO thickly.. AND THEN they complain about the taste

remember LESS is MORE .. until you get used to it.

different people have different tastes, i would have to be 1 of the few aussies who don't think it's all that nice n that vegemite is a tad over-rated, if u haven't tried vegemite yourself, go n try some n make up your own mind

It's an aquired taste, sometimes you need to grow up with it to like it.
