Armadale. I consider any suburb on the Armadale Train Line to be scary.

There are no suburbs worse than others , you get good and bad people in all, are you coming here for a holiday or to live ?
it can make a lot of difference where you stay if you are just visiting

guitardrummer
Kenwick. anywhere just south east of the city a few suburbs in from the river and the hills is pretty bad but getting better. and fremantle. stay somewhere in the city

Peppermint Grove
Dalkeith
Attadale
East Fremantle

Avoid these suburbs - because the cost will be too expensive for you, pal.

Just don't head up the Armadale train line, once you hit Perth Station, turn around 180 degrees.
2 suburbs up (if you don't turn around) is Claysbrook (just before Burswood).
One half is expensive but beautiful, the other is trash.

There's always the additional risk of finding a scummy area in even the reasonable suburbs. It will pay to take a drive around the areas you have in mind.

Bassendean, Ashfield (Trashfield) and South Guildford.

Basically anywhere further than Maylands on the Midland train line.
