You will likely get a flight but the hotel could be difficult. Act now if you are thinking about it. Good luck and enjoy our beautiful city! |

Wow - Sydney NYE seems a very popular topic on Answers at the moment...
No, not two years beforehand, but several months at least. It is certainly a very busy time. |

I would say a load of crap, travel agents only book seats on flights for Australia so far in advance and two years is not one of the things they do, you go for it girl and have an amazing time,Australia is a fantastic place to go. |

If you'd like to stay in a hotel in the city, it may be worth booking in advance. Naturally the Christmas and New Year periods are very busy, but I wouldnt say booking 2 years in advance is necessary, despite school holidays. |

I would say crap. You can't book flights more than about 10 months in advance. We will be there this Christmas/New Year and have only just booked our apartment!!
However we did book our whole holiday February 2007 for Christmas 2007 just to make sure we got a bargain on the flights (which we did)
Travelbag are very good and extremely helpful (if you are in UK) |

I'm going in November for a month and had trouble finding a hotel in Sydney for the last week of my holiday (30.11 - 6.12) so I can imagine Christmas time would be harder. I've got friends in North Sydney, and they've told me Christmas and New year in Sydney is very very busy. Having said that I wouldn't imagine you'd have to book 2 years in advance. |
