Those who live in PERTH or have visited - what did you think of Perth?

Also what was it like compared to Brisbane or Melbourne?

perth is amazing if your looking for the quiet life, amazing beaches, and very laid back life style. but if your used to the city life its a big change if you move there. Melbourne is amazing for that. But beautiful clean city, and its slowly developing itself, but no-ones in a rush there!

Perth is a beautiful city ~ very clean, spacious and modern.

It can't really be compared to Brisbane or Melbourne in physical characteristic, because it is so very different, although perhaps being on the river a little more like Brisbane?

But Perth has its own personality, and you will not regret visiting it to find out more about it for yourself!

Cheers :-)

Well Melbourne is a dump but Brisbane is a good city. Perth is tops though.

I love perth. Moved here from Melbourne a couple of years ago. Still visit Melbourne fourish times a year. Its quieter than melbourne. The beaches are superb.

it has a character all of its own compared to the 2 mention cities but all aussies are nice, hospitable and happy go-lucky people...enjoy my visit.

Perth is a very desirable place in Oz though it is far away from everything there. Good climate, friendly people and modern city. I stayed there for only one week during my Oz tour so I do not know how I feel if I lived there for a year or so.

wotzthepoint?
Perth is much less pretentious than melbourne and cleaner than brisbane. completely different to either of those cities. having travelled Oz I keep coming back to Perth.

Right now another perfect summers day is ending, its getting hotter towards the end of the week though. summer in Perth is as good as it gets!

Great food, the best wines, the best beaches and fun people. we might be isolated as a city, but that just makes Sandgropers uber cool when it comes to having a good time.

It doesn't feel far away if you actually live here!

It's an absolute cesspool. Like a really crappy Geelong if you like.
And as far as comparing to Melbourne and Brisbane, it doesn't.
And it is the 7th most isolated city in the world.
