Time Zone Differences?

If I was going from the Eastern Standard Time Zone to the Central Standard Time Zone, how would i have to adjust my watch???

Eastern Standard Time is based on 150°E. Central Standard Time is based on 142.5°E. At 4minutes per degree, that makes CST 30 minutes behind EST.

Time is complicated in Australia at the moment because the only State on EST is Queensland and the Northern Territory is the only place on CST because of daylight saving.

Across Australia, if it is noon in NSW, Tasmania, Victoria and the ACT (eastern daylight saving time), it is 11.30am in South Australia (CDST), 11am in Queensland (EST), 10.30am in the Northern territory (CST) and 10am in Western Australia (WDST)

If you take a look at http://www.auinfo.com/Australia_Time_zones.asp it shows the time zones around Australia on a map.

Thirty minutes.

But in summer, some states do not observe daylight saving.

http://www.abc.net.au/backyard/timezone.htm

will help with this.

You would have to set it back 1 hour.

When it's 5pm in the eastern zone, it's 4pm in the central zone.
