It really depends what you are interesting. For fun in the sun/water
Adventure world is a water based theme park, water slides etc.
rotnest island - catch the ferry, very relaxing for a days outing or stay on the island.
Penguin island - catch the ferry for a days outing
Beaches all along our coast, we have some of the best beaches in the world.
Shopping - visit Hillary's boat harbour, shops on the water, places for lunch and also aqua (underwater fish tank experience).
Fremantle - open 7 days a week, a nice place, some history but some good shops, visit the fremantle markets, and fish and chips and the fishermans wharf.
Fremantle tourist - The old prison does tours or you can do the night tour. Fremantle maritime museum (2), one has the submarine you can visit. You can book on the Leewin old sail boat, they do day trips or weekend trips. We have a jet boat on the swan river,
Swan valley - your parents may enjoy a wine tour, or you can do horse carriage wine tours, there is also a cheese factory, chocolate factory, elmars german beers and german food, there is minature golf, also supa golf which is tons of fun. The Maze is a picnic site with several mazes to get lost in, Whiteman park, which has nice grounds, BBQ, animals, old vehicle museum and more.
Kings park in the city is wonderful and worth a day, the gardens are beautiful, they have water features, streams wonderful playgrounds (yes, you are probably too old, but they are good ones), the bridge, great views etc.
I have provided some links below, but do you googling of perth yourself and see what you can find.

Im fourteen and live in Perth. You should go to Adventure World, Aqua and Cottesloe Beach which are really busy in summer, but still nice in winter, especially at sunset. Make sure you check out Fremantle for the shops, timezone, qzar, Freo markets and all the cafe's along there. Great atmosphere in the centre of Perth as well - check out the Picadilly Cinemaswith some friends or family. If you have time take a trip to Rottnest for a day or two, the boat ride might make you feel sick but trust me its worth it! You should see the beaches, resteraunts and shopping locations; even if you take a walk through the side streets of Perth, you are bound to enjoy yourself with the shopping bargins! Go to the new Ferris Wheel which was just built and even the bell tower seems like an "older-persons-place" but i enjoyed it :) Hope that helps you !! xx |
