My friend and i are wanting to take a trip to sydney for the summer. I was wondering what the weather is like in june, july, and august.

Typically these are our coldest months by our standards ,most days will be bright and sunny ,but the evenings and mornings will be very cold ,early mornings in late July can be -3 below and frosty (Kellyville Sydney) but the days get get up to 20 Degrees , however I really don't like August as this is our windy month and the windchill factor makes it seem a lot colder ,also day's for these months are quite short with the sun coming up at 7am and going down about 4.30pm ,anyway bring warm a jacket and covered shoes jeans and a jumper and you will be set ,maybe a scarf for August, hats are really not a necessity.

You are talking about Autumn and Early Winter.Mornings and nights cold, days warm to chilly as our weather is quite unpredicable. No snow we are not that cold.Winds in August. It is jacket and jeans weather. Rain comes in days then goes away for a week or two.Have a great stay.

Well, this year the weather in sydney has been usually unpredictable, days when they say its going to rain and it doesn't, summer wasn't really summer, much more like autumn. But during the time you specified its winter in Australia...will just have to wait and see what this season brings us.

I hope you enjoy your trip to Australia, its a beautiful place, with a lot going on. Safe Trip, al the best.

You can compare Jun, Jul, Aug in Sydney with the best days of a London (UK) summer. Cool mornings (6 deg in the city, maybe zero in Western suburbs) bright sunny days, 20deg C. Very few people bother with overcoats. Hats and Scarves are fashion acessories not necessities. Tradesmen still wear shorts. At the beach, plenty of surfers (in wetsuits) and sunbathers, but only a few keen swimmers.

Those months are winter and some of the coldest, it doesn't snow here but it gets close!

Sydney weather is winter from June to August. Although it will be chiily and sometimes wet, there will be no snow in Sydney itself. There are mountain ranges you can visit for the snow. You will still be able to do out doors activities.

at the moment its may and quite cold - although during the day its really sunny and glary.

The weather in Australia is of course always going to be beutiful. But it depends on where you go. Remember that winter here in the states or canada is opposite to australia. So winter here is summer there. Summer here is winter there. In june july and august it stays cool as that is their winter. Around an average of 18 degrees. Perfect for walking and touring around. So it's not too hot.
