Do you know how to use that computer your siitin at ? Ever heard of GOOGLE? Gee!!! Let me gues the Capital of Australia, Hang on I;'ll just type it in the search engine, Well!! Look at that it came back with an answer, it tells me Canberra is the Capital, Now!! was that so hard ??? No, Really, was it?? SHEESH!!!!

Canberra is the capital although Sydney and Melbourne are much larger cities with approx 3M people. All of the other state capitals are larger than Canberra but it was chosen as it lies between Sydney and Melbourne. Don't google as has been suggested but yahoo the same as the way you google.

It is nearly 300km from Sydney and some 650km from Melbourne.

Canberra is the capital city of Australia.

It is found in the Australian Capital Territory which is a territory completely land locked by New South Wales one of our east coast states.

A common mistake people make is to think Sydney is our capital but it is only our biggest city.

Canberra is a beautiful city (It was basically all designed and set out before anything was built) that is only 'relatively' new. The original battle for which city was to be our capital was between Sydney and Melbourne (our second biggest city further south.)

Hope those facts help a bit.

This sounds like a trick question, A. it's where they the BS is cultured .... but you may be from overseas so on a more serious note..... it;s where there are laws that allow people to do what they are not allowed to do anywhere else in Australia, it's in the capital territory, you know the part of Australia that will be protected before anywhere else... if a war should break out and Australia is targeted...head for Canberra, that's where the big knobs will be hiding.
