What's the dumbest question you've been asked by a tourist?

I have many, here's a sample : "Are there any parking meters on the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park?"
During brekky in Melb "We'll be back late for lunch, just taking a drive up to Darwin". Oddly enough, both questions by Americans.

Ouch! Barbed replies well-deserved. Let me rephrase - What's the FUNNIEST? And sorry, but they were Americans.

ha ha. good ones.
i've really only had one cracker.
i was on bondi beach, and these two russians came up and said "ni hao!" - i was like WHAT? and they thought we spoke chinese in australia. they were from a very small russian town however. haha.
and of course when i was overseas i got.
"how many kangaroos do you have?"
"whats it like living in the desert?"
"isnt it really hot there? all the time?"
"do you go to uluru for school excursions?" - i'm from melbourne!
"do you have schools &shops" - enjoy saying "what are they?" haha.

I love to answer questions by tourist. I don't consider any of them dumb. I consider it a compliment for them to ask me anything.

well when i was a local in lorne we used to go around actin dumb and asking ppl if they knew where the beach was (when you can see it from pretty much everywhere in town). so technically somebody has been asked that b4 so it counts haha

The Silver Foo Dog
Japaneses - Do you have water in Australia ?

Then I realized he was asking where he could find water.

Zobot.
I don't have a funny question but I have a funny story, once when I was over in America we were in the Aus section of the Zoo, this lady kept asking me questions and I kept getting them right so she was getting pretty peeved considering she was the person taking us around that section and the only 1 that was meant to no everything, then she said "Whats the name of that kangaroo over there" and I said "Actually, thats a wallabe" she didn't say a word.

A couple of good ones when I was in the US:
"Do you have shops in Australia?"
" Wow, you speak English really well, what language is spoken in Australia?"
"Do you guys have pet kangaroos?"

teehee
