With young children, it is very important to bond with them when ever possible. Go to the beach or the park, where there is plenty of open space for them to run around. If these places have children of similar ages then your kids will be able to socilaise with them and really enjoy themselves. |

Syney Harbour is beautiful...take some sandwiches and be entertained by the buskers take a trip on the ferry to Manly swim in the ocean. This would be the cheapest way to go. |

Go to railway station and buy a adults 'Daytripper pass' for $16 dollars and $8 dollars for child. You only need to pay for one child - the other two travel free.
Daytripper ticket lets u travel on all trains, government buses and ferries all day long until midnight. So for 1 adult and 3 kids the ticket will basically cost you $24.
From what i understand about it is that it also gives you a 10 per cent discount rate of the Zoo tickets for Sydney Taroonga Zoo. |

The Northern beaches are really nice, from Manly all the way up to Palm Beach. Get an icecream at one of the shops by the beach and then let your kids play in the sand! |

Both Manly and Darling Harbour have underwater aquariums.
Taronga Zoo.
Wildlife world (i think it's at Darling Harbour too, fairly new).
You could enquire about community based holiday care for children or perhaps send them to a camp. |

Buy a Sydney Morning Herald at a newsagency, somewhere in it should be information regarding events and activities for children during the school holidays. A free copy of Sydneys Child can usually be found in any library. Give Sydney City Council a call to find out what activities are being held for children during the Sydney Festival which is on this month. |

I highly recommend Featherdale petting zoo. It is a glorious adventure where you meet, get close to or pet the amazing animals of Australia. Have your picture taken with a Koala, See all kinds of kangaroos (the babies are adorable), I petted a wombat, they have a tasmanian devil (caged) area, and the emus wander around some areas. You can feed the animals as well. When I was there, I saw several groups of small children on field trips from schools. Of all the things to do in the area, Featherdale is the best. In my opinion, it will be a place your children will remember for the rest of their lives. |
