Sydney Opera House (take him to an opera); Sydney Harbour Bridge; Observatory Hill (Sydney); Three sisters in the Blue Mountains (go to Echo Point); Uluru; Great Barrier Reef, Cairns, Green Island, Kakadu National Park, Melbourne city, Canberra (take him to the National Gallery). The Art Gallery of New South Wales has a wonderful collection of Australian Art. Take him to a small country town, such as Berrimah (NSW - halfway between Syd and Canberra), or Daylesford (Victoria), and maybe for a drive down the Great Ocean Rd. If you include Adelaide, take him up into the Adelaide Hills, or down to Glenelg and Victor Harbour.

You need to find well known landmarks, natural beauty, and cultural activities to show a little of Australia's history and way of life.

The classic places in Australia are Sydney, Melbourne, Uluru (Ayers Rock), tropical north Queensland and Victorian snowfields. All so different from each other. The whole outback is also full of adventures!

1. Sydney Harbour (Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Circular Quay, The Rocks etc), New South Wales.
2. Uluru (Ayres Rock), Northern Territory
3. Great Barrier Reef, Queensland
4.. Port Arthur historical convict prison, Tasmania
5. Manly and Bondi beaches, New South Wales.
6. Barossa Valley, South Australia
7. Fremantle, Western Australia
8. AC/DC street in Melbourne, Victoria (also Federation Square and Flinders street station).
9. Australian national gallery and Australian national portrait gallery, Canberra, ACT.
10. Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, NSW.

I'd say, out off personal experience that the Sydney Opera House & Harbor Bridge is pretty good to go to. Kakadu National Park and Katherine Gorge~ with those you can go on day trips, and are pretty fun too
The old goal in Freo WA.. the guided tours are interesting and provide a bit of history.
Then there's the other national icons as such~ The Great Barrier Reef, Australia Zoo, Uluru.
The Barossa Valley is a wine producing region in SA which may provide some interest to your Italian guy
And maybe for some modern culture~ go to the Crown Casino haha

O the Australian Heritage Council is the principal adviser to the Australian Government on heritage matters. The Council assesses nominations for the National Heritage List, the Commonwealth Heritage List and the List of Overseas Places of Historic Significance to Australia. The Council also maintains the Register of the National Estate.

This is a significant national project that will demonstrate the goals of environmental gain and economic benefit are not in conflict, as well as deliver a reliable and affordable electric vehicle to motorists.

Also you can check out some of the good hotels via online hotels booking portal to make your stay comfortable. These websites provide apt information about the hotel facilities, rooms available and the surrounding attractions as well as other information that might be required by tourist.
