I thought she was an ignorant bigot until I met her. Now I know she is an ignorant bigot.

blip
She's a bigot, pure and simple. An ignorant bigot. She makes says stupid comments about sending Muslim's back to where they came from. Completely disregarding the fact that many Muslims are actually Australian born and Australian citizens. Australia was built by migrants, from the Irish to the Chinese in the gold fields to the Afghani's in the desert. What bothers me most is all the support that she garners. So much for loving thy neighbour, and all that business

I believe she has a right to express herself and whom ever follows her party. After all she has like other political parties have good and bad policies.

I ain't the one to be a political critic but the votes will express themselves on election day.

I like Pauline Hanson, and I agree with many of her views - not necessarily all. In fact, if you look at it, a lot of her ideas, mainstream politicians in Australia have adopted as their own views and implemented them. I think that the media, for some reason known only to themselves, have taken against her and don't keep an open mind on what she has said. She has voiced a lot of views that a lot of people agree with whether the media like it or not.

Polifia?
I think she is absolute cretin. Her claims are often unsubstantiated and she employs illogical reasoning in her discussions. She feeds on the fears of Australians and counts on people not questioning the veracity of her claims.

Examples? So, yesterday she announced that there should be a moratorium on muslims entering the country due to our right as Australians to be free from the fear of terrorism? Does anyone realise how ridiculous this argument is?
In other words, she is essentially saying Islam=terrorism. That is complete b.s. That argument is just as ridiculous as the mufti saying, australian girls=tarts.
The fact that Pauline is playing on the fears of Australians by implying there exists a connection with terrorism and Islam is dishonest and irresponsible on her behalf as a politician (and I use that term with malaise). No one can doubt that there are some fanatical muslims that engage in terrorism, but to make the generalisation that all muslims are somehow connected to terrorism is completely illogical and irrational. Does anyone really believe that by limiting or stopping muslim immigration we can rid Australia of terrorism (a part from the fact it will anger Muslim nations, cut our diplomatic relations with most countries and cause ridicule and disbelief on an international scale).

I especially adored Ms Hanson's quote yesterday: "I
think that if Muslim women realise how they have been
treated I probably would get a lot of support" How utterly patronising. I don't think this event warrants a repsonse.

It's like me saying (rightfully, I may add) Pauline would have my support in ridiculing her if she realised how stupid she was).

ll_jenny_ll here
well ten years ago it was the Asians she had in her sights... Now it's the Muslims...I just wonder who she will pick on next.

She's a simple minded woman who sees simple solutions to problems she has magnified.

the VAST majority of Muslims who have come to this nation pose NO threat... MANY of them themselves have been victims of Muslim Extremists. There are those Muslims who's families came here in the 1850's, helping to open up our interior .. Where do the Bigots think the name the Ghan comes from ????

While she herself isn't a dangerous woman .. the views she places forward are... bigotry hatred suspicion fear .. all very nasty words.. words that drive people to treat others badly.

And PLEASE don't people say she says what MOST Australians THINK .. that's just pure Bull$hit.. she might say what most IGNORANT Aussies think but that's it.

Pauline Hanson and her political agenda are one and the same its her and her ego.

People like her are dangerous just think how Hitler incited a nation through fear, prejudice and hate just to satisfy his egotistical view of the world.

I am not saying some of the things she says I don't agree with but the way and time she says them does not help an already volatile situation.

For example this morning she went on and on about the uncovered meat which she knows made us Aussies angry but no she picked that one thing to emphasize knowing full well the effect it would have and it worked to her advantage.

One thing about her she thinks just like any other politicians trying to win votes tell the people what they want to hear.

I am with you tentofield I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt and then I met her that made my mind up.

She takes the view of the average aussie and puts it in the media, however I certainly cant say she speaks for me, she like most people with a little bit of knowledge (not a lot should i mention) can be dangerous to themselves and those around them.

Her methods are uncoventional but still i admire her will to put herself out there along with her views. Even if the end result is her getting blasted again by the press..

mmdjaajl
i agree with most of her ideas but not all

Alan B
She's like Kevin Rudd, a politician perhaps, maybe even some policies, but I'm not sure what those policies really are...

But Why??
I think she's great and wished she got in years ago...

Pauline has the guts to stand up and say what most Australians really think ... YOU GO GIRL !!
