What day is it in Australia?

I am from Australia but I just checked my phone and it says 12:18 am MONDAY. I seriously thought it was SUNDAY. What the hell. My phone is always right... please help me. I have work on Monday so I'm confused! every one is in bed here... please assure me it is the beginning of sunday not monday! remember its 12:18 AM here, technically the morning of some day.
