Develop a taste for Vegemite, jandels/flip flops and tons of sunscreen. A stash of beer and fish 'n' chips will help you make some mates. (something to get rid of the flies helps too) And you will need a visa and passport. (assuming your not already a Australian citizen) |

Visa, Work Visa, Are planning to attend school??Then a Student Visa.
If your moving there just to live there I think you might have a limited time you can stay let alone live...you might have to apply for citizenship if you are not their for school/internship.
You most certainly need a passport. |

a boomerang and a large bowie knife...haha Actually, I believe you can initially get a visa and then once you've been there for while can either extend it or try to be granted citizenship if you want to stay longer. There's probably a website that you can use to find out all the details and who to contact. |

Make sure you can actually speak english.
You won't be able to live here for over a year unless you're approved for a long term visa.
Of course, you could also get married or apply for Australian Citizenship.
Make sure you can hold your alcohol, take a joke, get an akubra and learn how to box kangaroos just incase.. |

yeah, that immi.gov.au website would be the best for you.
i cant help cause i dont know what country youre applying from.
you should look up permenant residency visas.
all info and forms are downloadable, but youll need a paasport, then to lodge your application with the fee. around 1300 dollars.
and it can take up to 6 months to be approved.
the website will tell you all :) |
