The same as the people from the East think about the people from the West!

I'm a fruitbooter... So what
i live in the UK

people in the north are seen as dumb and poor

people in the south are seen as sluttish snobs

people in the middle are farmers

There's no rivalry between north and south. Only East and West. and oh, I'm talking about Australia.

I'm not trying to sound like an idiot in this response, so bear with me.

Normally the smaller the town is in the southern US, the more I find myself sticking out. When I go to the larger town (ex: Little Rock) to visit family, I find that I feel more comfortable there than I do out in country. The further away from the big cities, more the noticable the differences.

Ones that struck me:
1. the "no shoes" stereotype
2. very laid back
3. a little more close-minded
4. funny accents (but everyone has one)
5. southern drawl

I'm from New Jersey. I don't mean to sound offensive in anyway but people in the south seem a bit slower paced than us. They don't seem to have the same sense of urgency as we do. Also their taste in music and clothing style is outdated to us. Maybe this is because I get everything from NYC quicker than they do. Don't hate me because I respect you and all your answers.
