I recently moved from sydney area to brisbane, not much different except brisbane on a river, sydney on a harbour, and a beautiful one at that. Sydney has so many things around it, Darling Harbour, beautiful and entertaining, so many things to see and do. Brissy does to, but I'm yet to see it all. "Stralia", such a great place.

Another one who doesn't like Sydney. Lived there for too many decades that I care to mention.

What I do love about it it is great cheap restaurants and beautiful harbour. Great place for a holiday but not to live in....higher quality of life in other parts of Australia.

Majority Sydney is suburban boredom, long commutes to go to work, to go out, to go the beach, to go shopping or even to eat out. People obsessed with money, work and bitching. I am so over it, so i left. Never been happier.

Very little. I have lived here for 8 years now (have to because of work). Hate the appalling public transport system, hate the traffic. Too expensive to live nearer the city, too difficult to contend with traffic jams on the freeways etc etc. It is a very expensive town to live in. Melbourne is a far, far better option in terms of live-ability. Much more user friendly. Best things in Sydney are the art galleries (very good), the Opera House, access to Blue Mountains.

Who the hell calls Australia "'Stralia" ? Never heard of that in my life! If you can't abbreviate properly, then don't do it at all or you'll make a fool of yourself.

I'm from Sydney actually and I love the weather, services and the many things to see and do. I'd never want to live anywhere else.

Mel
No one says 'Stralia, we're not all bogans you know.
