I'm putting mine towards helping my Brother and his family travel from the Eastern states to Western Australia for a family wedding/reunion.
Some of his kids have never met their cousins.

Our vacuum cleaner died on the weekend, so I'll probably get a new one of those, plus I need some new sneakers and the rest will probably just go on bills and shopping!

We just bought a new house so it will be going towards something like a bbq, or bedroom suite, or new fridge/freezer... there are tonnes of things I want to buy and not enough money!!! We have good savings and have never have been in debt (until now with the house) and we can pay our mortgage off easily so there is no need to save it as far as I am concerned.

I would like to say however, that the government would have done a lot better putting that money into big projects like health or public transport so that it sets australia up for the future and gives people long term jobs - but I shouldn't complain - I will still happily take the $900.

When I finally get it I am putting it straight off my mortgage.

People need to wake up and realise it isn't free money !! It is the money you have been paying in tax. The government is just pretending to be generous by giving you some of your own hard earned money back !

i would love to spend it (what were meant to do) but i have a terrible credit card debt that needs some decent money on it desperatly... so thats where my $900 is going

It's not really a matter of them giving our money back, but more of an advance that we will all end up paying back ten-fold out of our future taxes.

I've spent mine already, I owe my folks a heap. Might spend a bit more and try and save $200. Which with my saving ability will last a whole 2 weeks.

Has anyone actually received theirs yet?

I get 2 lots cause I'm a full time student so I'm using one for Uni and the other's going towards a trip to Europe =]
