Australia is an excellent place to live.
The money is up there with the other Western countries but isn't the most expensive so it's definately livable. Sydney has the highest cost of living...
Nature - there are very few countries in the world that can say they have every type of environment the world has to offer (if you include the Australian Antacrtic Territory we even have ice deserts!) The weather you can pick according to where in the country you live - you can go for colder in Tasmania or warm all year round up in the Northern Territory or temperate in Sydney (and most of the time Melbourne).
Education is in the process of being standardised nationally so that at the moment depends on what state you're in but the quality is defeinatly up there with the best. It isn't as expensive as other Western countries to go and do higher education (like unversity) either.
I love this country and I'm so glad I live here. |

I've visited Australia twice for several months at a time from the UK. I don't want to live there but thats because I wouldn't like to be so far away from family. I lived with an Australian family for some of the time and was impressed by the schooling system that the children went through. Culturally,I found that for all the governments attempts to 'make up' for the past injustices against the indigenous peoples,the average Aussie has rather racist views. But perhaps I met some bad examples!! I'm glad to have been there though. It's a beautiful country with some of the warmest and most welcoming people I have ever met. They know how to enjoy life,how to eat,relax and appreciate the land they live in. Money wise,everything seems to be inexpensive when measured against the pound but I'm not sure how that would work out if you lived and earned there. |

It's a nice country and yes, most of the people are friendly there. Australian education is one of the best in the world and I have many friends who have studied there. Even my own father studied in Sydney during the 1970s there!!! My sister-in-law together with her family even migrated to Perth last year. Personally, I would not migrate there but I love visiting Australia. Been there 5 times and still couldn't get enough. Just love the shopping, seafood and beautiful sceaneries. Oh, btw, I love the native animals too....kangaroos and koalas are my favs. |

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil;
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.
Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

I think it's the best place in the world to live, although the weather does get quite hot in summer. Money expenses are pretty fair most things are cheap. The education is great heaps of free education for people who can't afford private, even though public schooling is some of the best schooling around. We're very friendly people also.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else in the world! |

I live in Australia so yes of course- I love it .
I live in Bendigo (about 100,000 people) which is like a smallish city/busy country town and I just love it here. The best thing about Australia is that you can be in the busy city and then drive 1 hour and be in bush land.
In Bendigo I work in the city centre and live only 7 minutes drive away- i and yet where I live there are kangaroos in our driveway and gorgeous native birds, owls, etc around the place. It really is beautiful :)
I think that education here is really great- I have gone through the Primary and Secondary schooling and I am now in University.
Our wages here are pretty good as the costs of living are quite low so it balances out nicely.
**It's nice to hear that people from other countries like Australia too |
