I'm from UK and have lived in Australia for almost 2 years now - and I would never go back again, except to visit. I love this country so much. Just now I was walking my dog round the streets near my home and it was 20C (bear in mind, today is the exact middle of WINTER!), bright sun, a tiny bit of drizzle and a beautiful rainbow lit up the sky over the lush, green hills.

A kookaburra was perched on the street sign (he flew away just before I got my camera out, dammit!), two rainbow lorikeets squawked as they flew into my bottlebrush bush to have a feed, a pair of pink and grey galahs were pecking at the grass seed the neighbours had just sown. Another neighbour called "G'day" across the road to us. What a wonderful place this is.

Sarahh, yes, I had four WYD pilgrims staying with me until yesterday and they were loving Australia too - that's before they even got to Sydney!

I have travelled quite extensively all over the world and can tell you that it is the best place in the world to live. Great to see other places and other people's cultures but great to get back home to Oz.

I'm from Britain, and I did actually return back home, but soon realised how good Australia really was, and was able to get back here again.

Now I am here to stay !

I have never lived anywhere but Australia, and i don't care too much about the wildlife and that stuff. But I like living here, it is where my family and friends are. But I want to travel the world as well, but I am always planning to come back home to Australia.
