the easiest answer is it is the suburbs that surround the city of perth. So when you search Perth, you have a choice of the city of perth, or as it is also called, the greater perth or perth metropolitan area.
So, Bentley Tafe is in the suburb of Bentley, which is part of the Perth metropolitan area. |

Perth Metro is short for the Perth Metropolitan area.
It is the the urbanised area, as someone has indicated, roughly North to Joondalup, South to Rockingham and East to Midland.
When I say urbanised, I mean that in the West Australian sense that somebody lives there and the roads ar tarmac not dirt. It is certainly not all a totally built up area as you might find in a European or American environment. |
