You will need a passport from your own country and a visa for Australia.
If you want to move here more or less permanently, you will need a work visa. In order to get a work visa, you must have qualifications and experience in an occupation in which workers are in demand here.
Here are the lists of required occupations and information on having your skills recognised here:
http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-occupations/index.htm
If your occupation is listed, these booklets will be helpful:
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/books6.htm
http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1131.pdf
If you want to come for a year or less and want to be able to work while you're here, some countries have working holiday arrangements with Australia:
http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/index.htm
Anything else you may need to know is on our official immigration website:

Nothing really. But you are not allowed to bring plants or animals from another country otherwise you might get a massive fine. |

Gotta have a hat and a decent pair of sunnies is an absolute must. Dig out your sunscreen and alovera gel. For our weather right now (Spring, heading into summer) shorts, tshirts, singlet and thongs. Oh, and don't forget swimmers, depending where your going.
Gotta have a sense of humour and a 'yeah, she'll be right!' attitude!
Have fun! :D |

A visa, a passport from the country you are currently living in, a job that you can carry on doing out there, your birth certificate and important documents. Medical notes as you will be changing doctors, dentist data etc and you will need to have injections so that you don't get any diseases or infections |
