What is Australia as a country?

Hey! Ok, so for my Graphics project I am looking at the AUSSIE hair care brand.

I am brain storming ideas about the country of Australia - mainly cultural and environmental:
So far I've got
• Great Barrier Reef
• The Outback
• Rainforests
• Eucalyptus Trees
• Surfing
• Animals:
• Kangaroo
• Koala
• Wombat
• Crocodile
• Emu
• Kookaburra
• Snake
• Dingo

Anyone got anything else??
:)

Great answers but they seem so cliche and stereotypical.

Here's the Australia I know and loved for nearly 30 years:

* BBQs
* beers
* tall poppy syndrome
* rugby
* AFL
* backyard cricket using the bins as wickets.
* budgie-smugglers.
* useless politicians
* people whinging about rising rates and petrol/grocery prices and moaning about how they're doing it tough - all the while continuing to run into debt and maxing credit cards at the stocktake sales.
* mullets
* selling off our Aussie brands to oversea buyers
* Saturday night drunken singalongs to cheesy 80s music at the local pub
* pokies
* pensioner neglect
* hospital neglect
* education system neglect
* changing our lifestyle to appease the minorities
* compromising our dignity to appease the Yanks
* obesity
* midnight kebabs after a piss up followed by obligatory vomiting at 1am.
* Melbourne Cup
* Drunken tarts who tries to pass themselves as ladies at the races (that gets shot to **** after a few bubblies).
* Holdens!!
* V8s

aaahh I love this country :)
