Australia is very diverse in terms of landscape. Most of the country is effectively desert, especially the west. There's giant canyons and gorges in remote areas, natural wonders, tropical rainforests in the north, snow skiing in the south, beaches EVERYWHERE...!!! Depending on how you like your beach, there's surfing spots as well as secluded sites of pristine white sand. The climate is very conducive to an outdoor lifestyle in Australia, so there are plenty of outdoor things to do. The east coast is much lusher and has a beautiful green belt all the way up from south to north. There's no real massive mountains to speak of, not like Europe, but there are still the Blue Mountains and Mt Kosciusko. The west coast has a much more rugged coastline and you can swim with wild dolphins at a place called Monkey Mia. There's also the Great Barrier Reef in north Queensland and Coral Bay on the west coast if you like snorkling. If you like cave diving, then there's plenty of that in the Nullabor and some of the inland places where the artesian basin flows under ground. There's miles and miles of underground caves and lots that have not been explored. Australia is very pretty and has lots of unpopulated and isolated areas, as well as some of the best modern cities in the world. Take a look at the pictures in the links below and come for a visit.

I live in Australia but I prefer New Zealand, when it comes to how pretty a country is.

It is beautiful, we have everything here! Desert, rainforest, snow, bush, lovely countryside, quaint towns, green english gardens, beautiful coastline, great cities... And yeah, the weather is fantastic at the moment. It's springtime here and sunny most days - all the better to enjoy the awesomeness!!

Australia is a very beautiful and interresting country because it's so different in nature.
Get you a book and have a look what expects you. It's worth it.

Australia's great! There are so many different types of places to visit, from culture-rich Kakadu to the amazing city life in Sydney and so much more.
Last year I went on a month long trip from Melbourne through the Flinders Ranges up to Kakadu, across to Fraser Island, the to the Gold Coast to visit a friend and back to Melbourne. We have so many Cd's full of photos of all the amazing things we saw!
