We're not apart of any other country we're are our own. It got it's independence from Great Britain in 1907.
And yes it's safe, I never not feel safe here. Also we're known for being friendly & laid back.. but outgoing. I agree we're friendly, in my city Wellington, people are more then happy to help you out with directions. Lately I've helped some people out (lots of tourists around atm and they're always looking for the cable car), if i wasn;'t with a friend i would've been more then happy to take them to were they wanted to get to, other then giving them directions. Also another example is if you stand at the lights waiting to cross the road with a group of locals, if you ask a question out loud like where something is... Someone will probabaly turn around and answer :] - seen it happen quite a few times lol.
The beautiful scenary - to get the best of it, In the north island its in around Taupo, Rotorua and Auckland is quite nice. Though it's mostly in the lower south island with queenstown, mildford sound.. and around the mountains, skiing, crystal clear lakes, and glaciers. And there is soo many cruises, jetboating, and walks etc.. all around NZ to see the best of the scenary its crazy.
Well hope you get the chance to come here.

New Zealand is a fantastic country. It is NOT apart of Australia, it's a separate country all together. (many New Zealanders would be offended that you didn't know this- haven't you heard of the All Blacks? rugby team)
It is a safe country, very friendly people and very multicultural.

I was born and raised there, but I'm living overseas now. NZ is great for outdoor activities, like bike riding, trekking, camping, surfing, swimming at beautiful beaches, sailing- you can go to lots of camps to do river rafting and abseiling. There are lots of entertainment places, Rainbows End theme park, Spookers, Wairewa- pools, theatre shows, go to Auckland, in the city there are tonnes of art galleries, shopping, museums, zoo. If you want to get to know the community in Auckland, South Auckland is a really interesting place. The Otara Flea Market is a cultural experience, visit a Maori Marae. Wellington has many attractions such as Tepapa. Bay of Islands is great for seeing dolphins! If you are in the South island explore the mountains. Visit Rotarua in the North Island to see the hot springs, one of the few places in the world where the towns water heating is done naturally thanks to the springs. There is so much to do.

New Zealand is a suburb in Western Sydney

It's a loooong way from the Northern Hemisphere, but the trip is worth it. Kiwis are very laid back, in general, even quaint in some areas. Lots of activities and scenery to keep you happy. Similar in many ways to Canada, with a big bossy neighbour as well (Australia).

Find a Lonely Planet Guide to NZ. That's your best bet.

Go to Queenstown in the south island its the best town in NZ for tourist destination

New Zealand is safe and very friendly. It's also one of the most beautiful places on Earth and is where all of the magnificent scenery was filmed for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

It has nothing to do with any other country (including Australia, the UK or the Netherlands) and is NOT part of the British Empire or any other empire. It has a much cooler climate than Hawaii.

New Zealand is its own country and a member of the British Empire.

It is a very safe and beautiful country. I have been a few times and love it and fully intend on going back. I love the winter over there and the skiing. Summer is great as well not as hot as in Australia.
