there's no 'better' of course, but..

Australia has the beaches and swimmable water (it's a bit chilly in NZ), the icons like the Sydney Opera House, Uluru, the amazing wildlife (Especially in Tasmania), the wide open spaces. You need to pick the right part of Oz for the time of year you are visiting.

New Zealand has wonderful scenery, everything much closer together (but it is still bigger than you think), fantastic walking, no dangerous animals, lots of history, high mountains, glaciers and wonderful forests.

They are both well worth a visit - what do you want to do and see?

They are both great you would be lucky to go to either but i would say new zealand

Michaela!
Australia.

depends what you want. hot weather - go to Australia, pretty scenery & not so hot weather - NZ. Both are great to go to & the airfare is only about NZ$500 between the 2 so why not do both?

hannah_xx

Go to Australia!! it's much much bigger than NZ..there is so much diversity and so many things to see and do.
New zealand is ok,but it's very small and the same all over you travel. It gets really boring after a few days.
Both kiwis and aussies are down to earth tho and they'll surely show you a good time.
The weather is was better in Australia.even if you travel during their winter.Actually in some states is recommended you visit during their winter, with temperatures reaching 25/30 degrees C.
have a good trip
