I think you have to remember that Australia is so big that the northerners don't consider the southerners proper Aussies, and vice versa (sometimes) since we're so far apart and live so differently in some cases. I'm pure Aussie, and some of the answers above i really don't agree with, but I guess to someone they are true. So maybe to answer your many questions about Australia you should try to come here, or do a bit more research... if you are Australian, I apologise, but I really can't see why you are asking all these questions...
