Australians generally aren't religious, although most identify with Christianity.
There is no state-sponsored or endorsed religion here. |

All religions are welcome in Australia but at this stage I think Christian religions are still in the majority. Especially Catholics and Anglicans. This probably stems from England, Ireland and Italy being major contributors to our population. Mind you in the last 50 or so years we are seeing many more religions. Especially those coming from the Asian regions. |

We are listed as a NON-DENOMINATIONAL country ...
we are NOT officially Christian or otherwise.
HOWEVER .. statistically there are a vast majority of Christians IN AU .. and other religions break down from there. |

Australia has no official religion.
The majority (around 75% i think) are some form of Chrisitian religion, predominantly Roman Catholic, Anglican or Lutheran.
There are a growing number of Muslims in this country, plus some areas have high Jewish populations. Most other religions you would find in the world can be found here also in smaller numbers. |

Nearly half the population are nominally Roman Catholic. The rest are Anglicans, Uniting Church, Presbyterians, Salvation Army and a whole slew of minor churches. We have 0.62% Muslim and probably more Jewish, Hindus and Sikhs.
I would say that 65% of people never go to church. |

VULGAR !!
printed in their koran (holy book) "kill the infidels and non believers"
they are sworn jihads
PLEASE hold them accountable
this insanity must end.
The world must require them to destroy the jehad's fatwa Hezbollah and (sher rea dung laws)
It is not fun any more.
Good luck at keeping them out
But their god allows lying..... |

I'm Australian. Most of my friends aren't religious and none of them go to church. There are plenty of religious schools but I think people send their kids to them for the education, not the religion. Australians are more concerned about quality of life and happiness than praying. |

Australians are free to worship in any way they like but few people bother about the religions of others. In the USA, an atheist President would be unthinkable and yet Australia has many atheist politicians and has had atheist Prime Ministers and State Premiers. We look on people's religion as their own affair and nothing to do with anyone else unless they make it so. |

Religion" That's man made.
The faith you have in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only thing that counts.
There is only one God and thats the Lord Jesus Christ.
Being or having "Religion" wont save your Soul. Having faith and ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you for your sins, thats what counts. |
