The town is ok . probably cheaper to live there than Brisbane. It would be a drag to commute each day . They have their problems in Ipswich as does other places but they do their best to keep it all under control and the town is getting bigger and better. A lot of people like it there . They have a great hospital I went there from the GoldCoast as I was on a long waiting list on the Gold Coast and was given the opportunity to have my operation quicker there. The staff where really lovely and I was so pleased I made the decision to go. I found it a friendly place

It has improved a lot in recent years but you wouldn't necessarily have to live there ...it isn't far to commute by train from Brisbane !

It's not that great, I have been there several times. It would be helpful to know where you live in the US, for instance, if you are from say St. Louis, Ispswich would be very nice compared to St. Louis. But if live in New Hope, PA, you will absolutely hate it. Please let us know what area you live in and I can be more helpful.

the city is quiet nice & getting bigger all the time
but wont say anything about the people

3/4 to 1 hour by train

All towns have there problems, Ipswich is a historical City and the people are just as nice as anywhere else, you get good and bad all over the place.
