What is it that fascinates you about Australia/aussies?

If u dont like aussies, is simple, dont answer! if u have nothing nice to say, dont answer!

It does not worry me how they say things, but it is the things they say. They do not give a damn for convention, if it works, do it, if not, leave it. They don't give a damn for traditional medicine if they can think of something better. Take for instance the cold cap for premature babies. When asked how it worked, the discoverer said he didn't give a sh*it, it worked. And it does. The Aussie who discovered that stomach ulcers were caused by bacteria and instead of cutting the patient to pieces, a prolonged dose of antibiotics did the trick. The BMA laughed at him but he stood his ground. Now that is a man I admire above all others in medicine. He stood his ground and was proved right. Good luck on you Aussies, keep it up (as Sheila would say)........

Their lack of acknowledgement that they are an inferior race.......( p.s. Hi, "Angel", just a light-hearted dig, baby! We Poms get plenty of flak from your direction).

whats not to love about Australia...most Australians have a huge sense of national pride....we are very proud to be Australians, and why shouldnt we be?

for one of the youngest countries in the world we are up there with the best of the best in every field there is....medicine, sport...you name it and there is an Aussie somewhere at the top...

i was watching footage of the Gallipolli landing on television and was overcome with a huge sense of pride for being Australian at that moment...we are a great country with much to offer the world...

I like the accent - so nice. I also like some of the reality programming - especially the "On the Block."
