Roast Lamb is the main dish

For seafood, whitebait fritters is also way up there as well as greenlip muscles etc...

Possibly a haangi - the traditional Maori feast with meat, fish and vegetables in an earth oven

Perhaps a roast meal, or perhaps a traditional Hangi. Where hot rocks are used to cook your meal in the ground. This normally consists of various meats, roast veggies (including Kumara) and other vegetables.

Lamb is one of them and a very popular Roast dinner on a Sunday. They also love there pumpkin and sweet potato with it . The maori people have a hangi when they celebrate with friends often. This is where they cook the meat and vegetables in the ground . Pavalova is one of the specialties for desert also Lamingtons. New Zealand has the best of fish and a huge variety. Very popular is the rainbow trout ,Oysters and whitbait.
