I took a trip to Perth while in the Marines. The moment the ship landed it was the best time of my life. So good in fact that I went AWOL for 3 months and stayed behind when the ship left. I loved it there and would hope to go back someday soon.

I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. It is so beautiful words cannot explain. I have lived in Sydney all my life and i will never go back. I love queensland. The most memorable moment ive had is waking up and going for a walk along the beach. Its is so beautiful. If youve never been. You should do it now.

waking up this morning in Cairns was pretty good...its a beautiful day, but it usually is in August...

best experience...swimming with pilot whales of the WA coast when they swam up to our 15ft dingy...it was awesome, no tourists, no charter boats, just us, the ocean and the whales!

another good one is something that happens more regularly...swimming at Palm Cove with the dolphins...I get to do that about two or three times a year, but its always awesome...I think once again...no tourists!

I live in Oz, a place called Melbourne which is right down the bottom of the Aussie map. Not as far a Tasmania though.

Last November, I took a plane trip to a destination called Queensland and stayed for 3 weeks at a place named Hervey Bay. It was truly beautiful.

There, I rented an apartment which was right on the beach front - I took my lap-top and wrote 17 chapters of a book. I named this book 'Working hard for a buck'. Which of course was relevant to a situation in which I had previously experienced (not in Hervey Bay though).

I sunbaked on the sun blessed sands, and ate out every night at differing restaurants adjacent to my apartment. Let's see: French, Italian, Seafood, Greek, Irish, English - too may to mention! The food was great and the servings were more than any normal person could handle.

Whale watching was out of this world, a bus would collect you from your address and take you to the boat which took you far out into the sea. On board all meals provided, it was great fun and the whales were just adorable. A sight of sheer beauty.

The locals were so friendly and helpful and they always made you feel like you belonged. having said this, I was born in Queensland, so I felt like part of the scernery any way! However, I had not visited there in a very long time.

I would have to say that this was my best ever holiday because of the relaxation. Some holidays are so go, go, go but this was really restful. I'd suggest that if you are seeking rest and tranquility, but also desire some night life. Then this is the place to be.

Love and joy

Beth
