So many reasons to pick each.
WA - Sun, beaches, lifestyle, huge mining salaries, large UK expat population.
NSW - Biggest city, constant activity and nightlife, beautiful Sydney harbour.
VIC - Culture and arts, cooler weather.
QLD - Warm weather, tourism, lifestyle
NT - Amazing outback, tropical weather
SA - Smaller city life, great wine region.
TAS - Beautiful scenery and wilderness, colder climate.

It depends what you mean by â€œbestâ€ . Some say Sydney because its mild weather, lots of job opportunities some say Pert Western Australia very European . Brisbane with its beautiful climate but I heard some people can not stand it because of the heat. Tasmania gorgeous and its ideal if you want to retire , if you want to get a job Melbourne or Sydney is your best bet.

Well I guess it depends on the person, but Melbourne is my hometown and pretty damm good!!!

things arent quite as busy as in sydney
this year we actually had some summer
better culture
voted most livable city
2nd safest city in the world
etc

but really depends what you are looking for
a job then sydney and melbourne as the most opportunities
but if you want a job is developement got to perth
school then melbourne
adelaide uni is really easy to get into if you dont get into on in melbourne
i reckon it's out of melbourne or perth

Queensland. They lifestyle is awesome. It is really laid back and friendly. The beaches, restaurants, shopping and country are amazing. there is a lot to do and see up the coast line.

New South Wales is the Best State in Australia and Sydney is the Best City.
Mainly this is because it is my home state, but other attractions like lifestyle, geographical position, Beautiful Harbour, Beaches and National Parks, Dining, Nightlife and Entertainment play a part, but, mainly its because I live there

Depends what you work as, and what you want out of it :D
I grew up on the border of VIC and NSW, but live in Melbourne now, and I love it there.
My reasons for living here (in brief :P) QSL is too humid, NSW has weird P-plater rules, Tassie is far too cold, SA is too much of nothing, and WA is too far away from everything.
