Officially I'd go with the colours in the flag - red white and blue but note that the blue is called "federation blue". (That doesn't really define Australia as different from the number of other red, white and blue countries...)
The unofficial colours, and the ones we're known for having in our sporting events are green and gold. They're definately the more well known for Australia.
