Depends on the time of year because of daylight savings and the location in Australia. Not all Australian states have daylight savings. The time difference ranges from 7 to 11 hours.

London is 9 hours behind Sydney, as they are on daylight savings time. Check here for the cities you need, as there are different time zones in Australia:

England is on the GMT time zone if I'm right. That's the time zone all other time zones worldwide are calculated from since it's right in the middle.

During Standard time when Daylight Savings are off, the time it is in Australia compared to England would depend on where you live:

Qld., NSW, ACT, Vic. & Tas. = 10 hours ahead of GMT

NT, SA & Far western parts of NSW (Broken Hill) = 9 and 1/2 hours ahead of GMT

WA = 8 hours ahead of GMT

Hope this has helped.
