there are so many really depends on where you're starting from. from Melbourne ;head to the great ocean road travel to pinola[great wine]then to robe[good fishing, romantic, and good wine mt Benson area]then a long to langhorne creek by free ferry [great wine] over to the Fleur peninsula [MC claronvale great wine] then up through the Adelaide hills to the barrossa valley. up to the Claire valley , over to remark [riverboats] to mildura . onto euchuca over to bright ,down to king valley[ great wine] down to shepparton or bendigo then back to melb. if you're starting from Sydney....

Melbourne to Port Douglas along the east coast (taking in Lakes Entrance, Syndey, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Whitsundays, Townsville, Cairns along the way) is pretty good! 4 weeks would give you time to stop off and stay for a bit in the places that you like the look of.

Adelaide to Darwin. Stuart Hwy.

Include the Great Ocean Road west of Geelong. If you can't do the Nullabor, try the Hay Plain. Another good one is the Newell Highway up the midst of NSW, plenty to look at on the way.

In 2006 I went from Tamworth-Broken Hill- Alice Springs-Ayers Rock-Mount Isa-Townsville-Great Barrier Reef (via Airlie beach)- Goldcoast (dreamworld)-home.
It went for 2.5 weeks and was awesome.
It was a school trip though.

have travelled Oz for the last ten years in a motorhome... way too many great places to name. You must do the cross country over to Perth, up the middle Adelaide to Darwin and the Great Ocean Road to name but a few. Just go for it!!! Depends where you are leaving from???
