You should go to Darwin and see Kakadu and all the beautiful national parks with waterfalls, you would really enjoy it.

Dampier Archipelago, Pilbara region, WA.

The northwest sunsets with their fiery shades of desert reds carpeting the sky out to the Indian ocean is what I miss the most. The place is wild and still fairly untouched in that you can still find a lonely beach where you can camp out on the white powdery sand. A great place to catch a fish to eat at the campfire in one of the worlds great untouched wildernesses.

I agree with what someone has said here about Kakadu in Darwin.
It is absolutely beautiful, and I loved every second of it.
Even though I visited during the Wet season, and all the Aboriginal cave art was closed due to floods, I had the opportunity to go on a crocodile cruise. It was amazing, and although it was completely the wrong season, I still saw heaps of crocodiles.
There is also a beach up there where you can eat dinner and watch the sun set. It is stunning, and one of the most beautiful sights I've ever experienced.
Two other places I have visited and LOVED are not very well known.
South West Rocks in NSW and Patonga (near Umina) also in NSW.
All very, very beautiful places to go.

Port Macquarie - fantastic beaches, not much high rise, plenty to do in the area, nice climate and generally nice ambience. If I moved to Australia that is where it would be!

Yes, Cairns area is lovely, and the Great Ocean Beach Road is also a lovely coastal drive. Western Australia, I like Pemberton and around Walpole and the Tingle trees.

So a bit hard to choose just one! Of course the wine areas are also really great! Not so much Hunter Valley, but Around Adelaide - McClarenVale and Barossa, and Margaret River in Western Australia.

there are so many beautiful places, and i've only been to a few of them.

the places that i always recommend to travellers to visit, which therefore must be my favourites, are the great ocean road and wilson's promontory in victoria

I loved the Gold Coast and the more laid back and very beautiful Sunshine Coast, especially Noosa
