I like Cotters Dam - go out fishing and have a walk or bbq out there. Anywhere in Canberra suits me fine, I love the place and I miss living there. Old Parliament House, War Memorial, the Rose Gardens and I like where the Government offices are where the streets are lined with different coloured leaves falling from the trees. I love Woden Square where there is plenty of eateries and shops

My favourite spot is a little Chinese restaurant under the Canberra Centre on Bunda street called "Hidden Dragon"
WHY? THE BEST - and I mean - THE BEST duck laksa you will ever get!

Awwww, now you make me hungry for some ....

Nara Park - behind the old hotel and the Albert Hall. Great place for a BBQ. Another good spot is Rama* Indian/Fijian Restaurant in Pearce. Also the bar at the Hellenic Club has seen me many an hour. (I like duck, I like lakhsa - sounds like a trip into Civic soon!)

I love Federation Square.

I used to live just near there, and my favourite thing to do was to go down on Sunday mornings to Cafe Injoy for their 'Big Brekky', then take a walk around all the cute little shops.

I really miss it......................

Australian War Memorial.
The place is absolutely fascinating.

I would have to say the top of mount Taylor because you reach the top and just get to see the whole of Canberra laid out in front of you!

Old Parliament House. It's great cause you can go and have a look at all the ministerial offices and sneak a glimpse of where the Prime Ministers sat. The guides that take you around are very well informed, and it's only a few minutes walk away from the new Parliament House. A great morning out, highly recommended.

My most favorite spot in Canberra is the airport! It means I am escaping from the bloody place!

While the War Memorial is awesome, and there are a couple good resteraunts there, I have to agree with Slim Dusty. The best thing Australia ever did was to build Canberra, and send all the pollies there. It is not high on my tourism list, and, in fact, I get queezy just thinking about driving into the city. Thumbs up to those who like the airport.
