Great beaches. Better Beer!. Friendly people. Football, meatpies, kangaroos and Holden cars. Vegemite. We got rid of Little Johnny Howard, thats a good thing. Can do what you want. People love our accents.

im not australian but this summer i met A LOT of australians, and the crazy thing is I LOVE YOU PPL... I LOVE THE...........
1. accent- its cool if ur a dude, and its SOOO HOT if ur a chick
2. ppl- ur so nice friendly and straight up cool and relaxed and no how to party
3. your beaches LOOK awesome
4. ur women look better
5. and face it... NO ONE else has kangaroos
6. MANY magazines out there vote melbourne and sydney as the TOP places to LIVE in the WORLD... sick stuff...

i think for me its the fact that theres such a diverse range of people from different backrounds that have come together to form their own new culture. i feel especially proud when i go to say a footy match or the commonwealth games where theres such a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere.

Seeing CFA Fireys rigged up and heading to the USA to help with their bushfires.
Or watching Search/Rescue personnel heading out to help locate people after an earthquake.

Any time I see our people heading overseas to help out others in crisis (and I'm not talking about the professionals - like World Vision), but just ordinary people and volunteers heading out to help - makes me SOOOO proud of them.

sadly i find the younger generation is so submerged in the american culture(through their domination of tv programing,movie and music) that we are starting to lose that feeling of being aussie and as i think the rest of the world is also becoming 1 world(which is not such a bad thing)
we aussies have a very unique vernacular
,which is slowly being eroded,we use to say gid day mate now i hear more whats up homes.
what makes me proud to be an aussie is i was raised to be patriotic,
we use to sing god save our queen at school every week including high school but now we have advance aust and it is not sung every week anymore.

The diversity of our land and it's people, the weather that we have and the way's that we can enjoy it. The wildlife and plant life that are found nowhere else in the world. Our history that is not as covered in blood and war as much as some other counties. That is what makes me proud to be a Australian our uniqueness.
