I would jump at the chance to go to Japan while you are young. Come back after your fun and job there to Australia speaking fluent Japanese and your job offers will double - especially in the high business companies or tourism industry. Then maybe you would be ready to settle down a bit.

Go for it! Have some fun in Japan and then when you're ready in a few years, go back to Austrailia or wherever.

My daughter was in this situation a couple of years ago. I encouraged her to go with her heart and she spent two years in Europe, basically living from week to week but travelling at every opportunity. She is now back home and has a MUCH better job than she had originally. The experience broadened her horizons and made her a much more interesting person. I say GO FOR IT!..

Your young! Enjoy yourself while you can,. don't wait till your old and regret not doing it. In a few years, you can settle down and have that good paying job. But for now, enjoy yourself before life and children get in the way. Go! Why are you still here?

When I was your age I anted to travel and see the world, but allowed circumstances to hold me back.

Now that I'm old, travel is harder, opportunities are fewer and I'm not as flexible as I once was.

I still want to travel and in the past couple of years have done so, and it has made me realkise in a very sharp way how much BETTER it would have been to do it while I was young, and the world had no horizons. Not to mention if you're young you can still get a work permit in most places, which I can't at my age!

So you wait a year or two to get a 'real' job in Australia ... we're not going anywhere :-)

If you want to do it, stay in japan, have your fun ~ but keep your eyes open, too! Many a person has started a part time job for fun and ended up being offered a career.

You never know when lady luck will knock on your door, make sure you're awake when the chance comes :-)

Do it while you can. My motto: Live with no regrets. Do you think you'll look back in 5 or 10 years time, saying I should have gone back to Japan. I think you will. No education can give you the life experience of living and immersing yourself in the Japanese culture for a year or 2. I don't really think the smart thing is to stay and start a career. Go and experience life, make the most of the life you have. The Japanese adventure could take you on a totally different career path. The career, house, family can all come later as you still have plenty of time for that. Go to Japan and have a fantastic time.

You are young and there is plenty time in your life to fit a couple of years in japan., like now.

there are plenty aussie girls in japan, or would like to go so get on the net dating sites and go for it.
